Don’t like CHANGE……Leave it HERE!

Were you aware that our MIND and BODIES are programmed for self-preservation and survival? It’s why many of the essential aspects of life occur on autopilot. You’ve never had to be reminded to “make sure your heart is beating”, or to breathe, or to close your throat when breathing from the nostrils.

The architect of the Universe created us with these autopilot features and also we are creatures of habit….again wired for survival and we all tend to develop certain routines for many daily activities. We generally wake at a certain time, brush out teeth in a certain way, drive along the same route to work, have a certain number of cups of coffee….etc etc etc.

If everything remained the same, just as it is now, would you be able to say your life is wonderful, exciting and just the way you imagined?

You and I were born with greatness in mind. The only way to fulfill this greatness is to EMBRACE CHANGE. In fact, seek out CHANGE; after all,….it’s happening anyway. All day everyday, moment to moment, change is occurring. And would you believe….Change, enough of it, can make you a rich person! So, are you willing to OWN YOUR SHARE?

Here are 8 steps to OWNING YOUR SHARE OF CHANGE!

1. Recognize that change is happening all the time – every second of your life you are changing. Because it’s on autopilot, your don’t resist it…but its happening. Every second, you are changing-> getting older, wiser?, grayer?, more intellectual, hungrier, sleepy, happy, annoyed?, literally as the seconds tick YOU ARE CHANGING. – Think about this, in your short lifetime (whether you are 10 or 100 you went from about 2lb or so to xx times that, unable to speak to speaking, immobile to walking…and all in a relatively short period! And you didn’t resist. Don’t resist now.

2. Make CHANGE natural – just like the examples above, you didn’t resist because you didn’t analyze it. It was just a natural extension of the life experience. Continue that same philosophy, go with the flow. Keep the idea of change as simple as possible. Understand that it really is a natural extension of you.

3. Recognize the power in change – are you aware that all power lives in the NOW? We can remember the past, but can’t go back and change it, but we can use the power of NOW and CHANGE our current conditions. Even a baby step forward is forward progress.

4. Proactive change is better than chocolate- No one wants to be told what to do, no one. We love to chart our own path, navigating our own waters…..that’s why it’s so important to be a proactive participant in the change process. By doing so, you are calling the shots, you are owning the situation. And when you own something, it’s yours to do as you please. This is the essence of making lemonade when handed lemons.

5. Find the GOOD in CHANGE – While change can be scary, unknown and uncomfortable…if you look deep within you can discover the GOOD (Golden Opportunities On Demand). When presented with change , ask yourself 3 questions:

A. How does this change benefit me?

B. How does this fit into the grand scheme of my life?

C. What can I do to embrace this change?

Implementing this train of thought will help you find the GOOD that change brings.

6. Be grateful for change – as you begin finding the GOOD that lives in change, also adopt an attitude of gratitude. Be grateful for the excitement that change brings. Be grateful for the learning experience, be grateful. Period.

7. Love your circumstances or CHANG E them – Are you complaining or rearranging? Are you holding on to what you don’t want, or are you embracing what can be- Love where you are or change it. Step by step, you can change your circumstances- stop complaining, start changing.

8. It’s your choice – Since you are now aware that change is happening every second, it’s your choice whether to embrace it or not. Your life would be so much happier and on purpose when you can accept change, own change, find the good in change, and be the change. After all, you already are!

Begin today, seeing change as an exciting, rewarding and new experience. By simply embracing change, you are taking control of your life- you are accepting the inevitable, and you are inviting wonderful experiences! Today is a new day, full of change. Enjoy!

My Success be continued

The other day, I was reviewing my goals list and gearing up for a strong 2009 finish and a wonderful start to 2010 (The Best Year Ever) - As I began reviewing my occurred to me that I needed to complete a narrative, My Success Story. What a wonderfully inspirational took about 20 minutes and yet it really left a lasting impression.

This story was written based on things that really occurred in my past, seeing things the way I want them to occur, things that are occurring now....and goals, and dreams I am yet to accomplish - Everyting I read it I am reminded of 2 things:
1. How much I've already accomplished
2. How much I'm accomplishing even this very moment!

Enjoy and I hope this spurs you to write your own success story......

My Success Story

There once was a girl named Valarie Johnson. She was the 7th of 8 Johnson children. Her parents loved her very much and, despite their own problems, wanted her and her siblings to succeed in life.

Valarie was a really good student and had the natural ability to work independently and was a great problem solver. Little did she know this fact would one day come in handy….and make her a multimillionaire visionary later in her life.

As Valarie neared the end of high school, she decided she would pursue higher education, even though no one else in her family graduated from college. She always knew she loved to learn and loved personal development….again, clues to her later uber-success in life..

But, it wasn’t that easy, Valarie grew up with alcoholic parents and soon after leaving home for college, hundreds of miles away from home, she needed to fulfill some sort of attachment to the only family she knew. Alcohol was her connector and drug of choice. Valarie began drinking quite often, eventually every day. Her grades began to suffer and soon she was placed on academic suspension. Valarie thought she blew it!

For years she remained out of college, but not out of school. You see, her desire for learning and personal development never ceased. She still read everyday, reviewing her old textbooks and even taking quizzes and writing papers.

Then one day, she signed up for a free personal development self esteem class held at the local library. This class showed her 2 things (1) It doesn’t matter who your parents are or what mistakes you’ve made in the past, The Past is Gone!, Today, right NOW, you get to choose a new path for your life, (2) It also showed her how to apply for non-traditional student grants and little known scholarships to help pay for tuition. She did both.

Soon after that class, a new Valarie, more inspired, and motivated, began the journey, for the 2nd time, to achieve higher education. All the while, she worked the graveyard shift at factories and hotels, working some 50-60 hours a week, while attending college full-time.

Valarie went on the graduate, earning an associate, bachelors, masters and PhD.

Valarie Johnson also realized her childhood dream of being a stockbroker. Soon after earning her Bachelors degree, she began working at the , then prestigious firm, Merrill Lynch.

After a few years, Valarie was drawn to her passion for personal development. After some soul searching, she left the finance industry and earned a Certified Life Coach designation.

Valarie’s mission was to share her story with those who knew there was this wonderful life waiting for them to explore. She wanted to help them begin the wonderful journey to the wonderful now.

Valarie, Dr.Valarie Johnson, went on to publish 6 books on the subject of personal development, all of which made it the New York Times Best Sellers List, each reaching the #1 spot!

Dr. Valarie also opened The Wonderful Now Personal Development Center with locations all over the world. The center joins together life coaches, healers, yoga instructors with eager participants, co-creating a world of inspired, healthy and motivated individuals pursuing and living their dreams!

Also Dr.Valarie met and married her soul mate. Together, they share a 8500 sq. ft Loft in downtown Atlanta. Dr. Valarie loves driving her 1989 Grand Cherokee Waggoner. And this year she made another dream come true by donating $1,000,000 (million dollars) to NPR (National Public Radio).

Dr. Valarie, despite all the setbacks in her life, realized all of her dreams, and continues today living her Ideal Life!

Find the GOOD

This weekend, I was visiting a friend and as we were watching the weather forecast she made a profound statement. Now at the time, she had no idea her statement carried with it clarity, vision, mindset, and awareness. But I did. I knew the moment she made the statement everything changed. The butterfly effect in action. So, what the heck did she say?

She said that she felt that nothing ever goes her way, that nobody is there for her, that the world conspires to make her life horrible, that if anything went wrong then everything goes wrong. She said that she is blind, nearsighted, farsighted, a victim, helpless, unable, unwilling, and unmotivated.

You may already be aware that she didn't say those exact words. What she actually said was,"Oh, great, I'm off onTuesday and Wednesday, and it's going to rain;when I have to work it's sunny and when I'm off, it rains! That's just not fair."

Her statement opened a dialogue that lasted about 3 hours. I was struck with a quote I'd heard long ago...How we do one thing is how we do everything.....So she and I began looking at her day and seeing how she instantly focused on a neutral event and interjected a "negative" connection that put her into a powerless state.

We looked at several events throughout her day, her week and her month and we discovered a pattern. Her pattern was to assume a helpless victim mentality so she could let herself off the hook and not do anything to change her circumstance. In doing so she didn't have to feel bad about being lazy because from her mindset, there was nothing she could do about it.

And each situation she kept repeating, there's nothing I can do - I didn't create the weather, I cant control the traffic, I cant make my boss be kinder.....Victim mentality.

After about 18 examples even she began to see the pattern. And then- She had her lightbulb moment. Awareness brings with it the responsibility of desired change. So, we began to Find the Good. She began to realize that most things in life are neutral. We, by our thinking, make them good and bad. A knife is just a knife. It's great beside a fork, not so great in an angry 3rd graders backpack (unless that kid brought steak for lunch).

When you know that you get to decide, when you know the power is within, you begin to see clearer, you begin to see begin to Find the Good!

Question and thought to ponder

What happened today? What good can come of it? DO you spend more time discussing the problem, or discussing the solution?

Give it Away!

If you really really really (3 really's) want something - the best way to get it is to give it away. For instance, if you are single and you want to meet the person of your dreams then be the person of someone else's dream. By that I mean, be the absolute best co-worker you can be.Make people feel that you are too good to be true. (they may say, I must be dreaming, or you are a dream come true!) Be the dream (not nightmare) neighbor, mom, sister, friend, patient, customer etc. Show that you are so incredibly lovable, kind , generous, warm, sincere, and beautiful. Begin to show the qualities;the qualities you wish to attract in your vision of the person of your dreams. In others words, give it away! In doing so, you'll realize the thing you want, you actually already have. As Gandhi said, "Be the change you want to see."

And guess what, you will attract what you focus your energy on and it will begin to show up in your life. The key is to be sincere in what you say and what you do, otherwise you will attract phonies!

Lets look at another example. You're a young man and you really want a Dad figure in your life. Give it Away. Be a mentor to younger kids in your home (siblings), in your neighborhood, in your church and at school. Give to someone else your genuine time, attention and love. The things you wish a to hear from "Dad" go ahead and hear them. Hear yourself saying them to those you mentor. Give love unconditionally to Mom, to the elderly lady down the block, to the kid at school that gets bullied. And if you are that kid at school that gets bullied.....ask yourself this question "What would my "Dad" tell me to do about this", or If I had to help someone with this situation what would I tell this person. Our subconscious mind is goal oriented. It seeks to find answers. Keep asking those questions and guess what- you will receive the answer that works FOR YOU!

Give it away. It's a simple concept yet extremely powerful. Just remember that there are universal laws that, if used positively, will help us have whatever we wish to be, do and have.

Today is the day to GIVE IT AWAY!

Question and thought to ponder

What do I really really really want? Why? And what does having that give you? Whatever you answered in the last question, give it away!

Og Mandino - Success Scrolls

Please join me on Wednesday August 12th at 11:30pm (EST) for an adventure into extraordinary. Are you looking to achieve that extra boost? Are you aware that you are only successful as you believe you are.

Voltaire said " Man is free the moment he wishes to be free"

I say- You are successful the moment you choose to be!

Join me on blogtalk radio as I review the 10 Success scrolls from Og Mandino's The Greatest Salesman in the World- visit for details

Tune in : Just past ordinary, Step into Extraordinary !

Is success attainable?

Do you have someone you look up to? Perhaps someone you believe is successful? Someone you admire for their attainment of success? I look up to Oprah Winfrey. Her life story is a wonderful story of triumph, positive thinking, determination and a "follow your bliss" attitude.

This begs the question, is success attainable? Is it attainable for you? Because that is the ultimate question- and what your belief system tells you- is the story.

Silly question #1, do you want to be successful? 99.998 out of 100 answer YES.

Silly question #2, do you have a clear mental image of what "successful" looks like? 10 out of 100 answer yes

Silly question #3, have you clearly written down your successful life story/along with short/longterm goals? 5 out of 100 answer yes.

Guess how many of the 100 are successful?

Wow, can you see the difference? Think of it this way, when you are hungry you begin imagine the taste and good feelings associated with eating- Whats your next step? Don't you figure out what you want, then either cook it or buy it?

What happens if you were to apply the same logic to achieving your successful life? Perhaps success?

Here's the quick formula for achieving success - Have a clear definition of what your success is, have a clear mental image of what it looks like (what do you see, hear and feel as you are living you ideal life), create SMART goals (Specific, Measurable, Attainable,Relevant, Time based) short and long term - all with the focus on achieving your ideal life, Write down those goals! post them, memorize them, and ACT!

If you do this you will be successful

Question and thought to ponder

What have I been doing to become a success? Is it working?

THE 10 gratefuls

On his particular Wednesday morning, I felt sleepy and not very excited about the day. As I lay in bed, I began drifting to my Ideal Life. My Ideal Life is just that, if all was exactly as I want - what would that look like, how would my typical day begin. As is drifted into the wonderful, I began feeling gratitude for everything in my life. This lead me to create the concept of "THE 10 gratefuls"

Here begins my daily morning ritual-

Begin to say aloud 10 thinks you are grateful for, and it can be anything you want to say. When this happens, the Law of Attraction takes over and it's like saying to the universe "more of that please", and as always- the universe responds "YOUR WISH IS MY COMMAND".

My 10 Gratefuls for Wednesday 7/22/09
  1. I'm so grateful for the air I breathe
  2. I'm so grateful for this bed and pillow
  3. I'm so grateful for my cellphone alarm clock
  4. I'm so grateful for my feet
  5. I'm so grateful I can walk with ease
  6. I'm so grateful for my furniture
  7. I'm so grateful for hot water
  8. I'm so grateful for having somewhere to go this morning
  9. I'm so grateful for my arms and my muscles
  10. I'm so grateful for being able to read

Even in the midst of a storm, if you can decide to be grateful for the shelter- you have taken the step to changing the tide. Remember, you really have all the power, and all the power lives in the wonderful NOW.

Question and thought to ponder: What this second are you grateful for? How often today have you given thanks?

If abundance is real, Where's my Stuff?

Here is a quick lesson in abundant thinking and believing. Before we begin, here's a few questions

  1. Are you yet to receive things you've asked for?

  2. Do you read self-help books, watch "the Secret", meditate, speack positive affirmations

  3. What is one of your favorite activities? (reading, fishing, swimming, rock collecting)

  4. Do you believe that abundance is really real? (Abudance defines as an overflow, agreat or plentiful amount, an endless supply)

If you are like other people I've spoken to in my workshops and coaching sessions, you may feel that there is a disconnect between Asking and Receiving. After all , we are just supposed to ask, and the Universe is supposed to Answer, and we are supposed to Receive.

So, Where's my stuff!

Ok, first of all we have to check our "belief system". We have to believe that we can have whatever we want, #1, and we have to believe that abundance is really real, #2.

Ok lets discuss the Abundance is really real concept- Here's the "Abundance Lesson"- Answering the question above- what's some of your favorite activities? Lets use fishing as an activity: Answer these questions about fishing,

  1. Count the # of fish at your local fishing place (lake, river, ocean?)

  2. Count the # of fish in all the water in your city

  3. Count the # of fish in all the water in your country

  4. Finally, count the # of fish in all the waters in the world

Is it possible for you to exact those activities? Isn't it easier to know that because there is an endless supply it's really a silly waste of time to fret over not having enough fish to go around? Can you see how the Universe is really equipped to handle that task?

When you begin to trust that more that you can Imagine is available, you begin to relax and allow.

Now, does the universe know that you love fishing? Well, are you talking about how fun it is to fish, how happy you feel fishing, how blessed you feel to have discovered this wonderful activity OR are you talking about NOT having enough time to fish, or I would but I HAVE to work, or I dont have time to fish, or I need an expensive pole then I'll go, or it's too hot to go, or it's too cold to go?

Get clear on the experience you wish to manifest in your life, stay clear on the experience you wish to manifest in your life, remain clear on the FEELINGS the experience you with to manifest will creat in you--> become an expert in feeling as if and you will be able to answer the question "Where's my stuff"

The next time you feel the anxiousness of "where's my stuff" ask yourself:

  1. Do I believe in abundance

  2. Have I affirmed clarity instead of confusion

  3. Did I answer #2 with yes, but?

You already know what to do- Affirm instead of ask.

I read a phrase called P.U.S.H = pray until something happens. Also BUSH- Believe and affirm until something happens.

Make today Wonderful

Question and thought to ponder. When do you know when to stop repeating affirmations? When you get your stuff!

Never ask "Are you hiring"

Were your aware that June 2009 statistics indicate the U.S. Employment rate is 90.5%. Huh? Of, you may have heard it reported as..... The U.S. Unemployment rate is 9.5%.

According to :

In June, unemployment rates for the major worker groups--adult men(10.0 percent), adult women (7.6 percent), teenagers (24.0 percent),whites (8.7 percent), blacks
(14.7 percent),
and Hispanics (12.2 per-cent)--showed little change. The unemployment rate for Asians was 8.2 percent, not seasonally adjusted.

SO what does this mean for you and me, and your prospective employer? It means we all have to "step up our game", cowboy up, employ out of the box thinking, and "git-er-done".

Here are 5 TIPS to stand out, get noticed and GET THAT CAREER!

1. Never ask "are you hiring?" - all this says is you are tuned in to "WIIFM (What's In It For Me). Do you know what you prospective employer hears? "help me, i have no money, in need a job, i need you" - WEAK VERY WEAK

- wouldn't you rather convey this message: Your company will benefit significantly by adding me on the team, When are you available to discuss my value added partnership with you? - This conveys confidance, skill, assertiveness.

2.Know your Strengths - What skills and talents do you possess? What are you really good at doing? Empathy, listening, writing, communicating? - Once you know this info, determine how this fits into the company and position you are interested in acquiring.

- There are many free internet sites that will help you determine your strengths. A great book on this topic is Strength Finders 2.0 by Tom Rath.

3.Research the company AND THE POSITION- research the company;pay particular attention to the mission, value statements, company culture, financial soundness, and growth. OK now, research the position you are seeking-

  • Review the "job description"

  • Ask others that have this position about the day to day (doesn't have to be the same company, and you can easily obtain this info via internet groups, friends, family etc)

  • In reviewing the job description- find out what characteristics are required to excel in this position, be thorough in this step

  • Review your strengths, is this a position well suited to bring out those strenghts, or will you have to struggle (if you are shy and this is a telesales position do you think you will be happy day in and day out?)

  • Decide why you want this position-determine if you are willing to hone in and improve the characteristics required to become successful in this position

4.Give yourself some love - Are you currently unemployed or under employed? Is that the reason you are looking for a new position? This is the perfect time to make lemonade from lemons. What is your chosen field? What skills are required to excel in that field? Since your status changed to unemployed, how have you "sharpened" those skills. If you are used to working 40-50 hours per week, and you are spending time seeking employment, why not spend some time increasing your skills- doing so on a schedule- something routine that indicates you ability to remain in the "I have a purpose" mindset.

Again, there are so many free resources available. Use them. Make some lemonade and stop sucking lemons.

5.Confidence 2.0 - rebuild your confidence by deciding to find the good in this not so pleasant moment in time. Remember that's all this is - just one moment in a long string of moments that are your life. Look at it this way, if you live to reach 90 years old thats about 32,850 days- how many days have you been unemployed? In the grand sheme of things, that's a relatively small number. The moments are just that, temporary moments in a long string. And it is reasonable to assume some of those moments will be great, fantastic and wonderful, and some not so great----> the are all just moments, plus it averages out good. Do something that builds your confidence:

  1. Lose 5 lbs, or put on 5lbs of muscle

  2. learn 500 words of another language

  3. create a me speech - this is a 30-60second speech, spoken in present tense, that describes your strengths. Memorize it, repeat it often, post it. Here's my "ME Speech"

I am a wonderful person who loves life and feels absolute joy, appreciation and relaxation. I am so energetic, smart, funny and so very beautiful. All that I have ever earned and will earn is because I know that I deserve it. I see opportunity everywhere and since I know abundance is real, I share my knowledge by adding value to those I encounter. I love me and feel gratitude for each and every waking moment.

Have fun and enjoy life!

Question and thought to ponder. What if I knew my real potential was to be a billionaire? What characteristics do billionaires have that I also have?

Follow your intuition

If something inside of you nudges you to do something, to say something, to call or reach out to someone etc. follow it. You can't ever imagine what - following your instinct- may lead to. Imagine that you are in need of some money. Your bank acct is low, as are your spirits. Somehow, you remember that abundance is real, and believing in abundance makes you feel a little better. Something flashes in your mind, about an old friend, indicating that you should call her/him. Now, this feeling is strong enough that you adhere.

Fast forward to you and this person meeting for lunch, she mentions something that you are interested in, she introduces you to someone else, and the chips begin to fall into place

Fast forward more, and you've been introduced to the person that "hires" you to do something that you are really interested in, or this person buys something you have, it short- the money you needed has come.

The key to this, and to accessing abundance, is to follow your intuition. It's ok if you cant see the how, remember that's not your job. Let God (Universe) in it's infinite wisdom, handle it. The Universe knows the easiest, quickest, most efficient manner to reach you. Your job is to believe in abundance and follow your intuition.

How do you know it's positive intuition, versus simply trying to will something to pass? How does it feel? If it feels labored, negative, not right, that's probably not intuition. When it feels more neutral, random, relaxed then that's probably intuition. Follow it

Question and thought to ponder. Are you in need of something? Are you focusing on lack or "how can I"- shift your focus and your view changes

Vision Boards- the window to your Ideal Life

What is a Vision Board? – A vision board is simply a tool where you display images of your goals, dreams and desires. A Vision Board is based on the Law of Attraction, whatever thoughts, ideas, or situations that you most give attention to will eventually appear in your life. This is the process of deliberate intent, creating your Ideal Life.
What is the Law of Attraction and how does it work?- The simplest definition of this law is "like attracts like."
So if you tune your thoughts correctly, your thoughts will begin to resonate with the very things you desire. And because like attracts like, the more you think about the things you want, the faster and closer they get to you. This is how the law of attraction works. The actual creation process comes from your beliefs (being), your thoughts, your words and finally your actions, in that order.

How do I create my vision board? Deciding to create a vision board is a wonderful step toward living your Ideal Life. You may need a few supplies:
· Get Poster board, paper, magazines, pictures, glue, inspirational phrases, thumb tacks- the key is to make this board personal so that it evokes good feelings.

· Words- what are your favorite words, your favorite songs, make a quick list of your “favorite things”

· Your Ideal Life – in a relaxed and easy manner, begin creating the story that is your Ideal Life. Imagine you have access to an incredible magic wand, with this wand you wave it and BOOM, you are living your Ideal Life. Paint the picture, what do you see, what sounds do you hear, how does it feel. If you can just IMAGINE YOUR IDEAL LIFE, you have already begun to manifest it.

· Once you have visualized your Ideal Life- begin placing pictures, images, words onto the board. Be sure to include pictures of yourself!

Deciding to use a Vision Board will bring these manifestations into your life at a level that is more “conscious” and therefore tangible. Thoughts are immensely powerful and ultimately advantageous; when used properly, a Vision Board is a very powerful tool.
Have you ever heard the phrase “you have to fake it till you make it”? Looking at your board will invoke feelings of already having it all. Imagining how it will feel to be further blessed will signal to the universe your thankfulness and appreciation.
Begin looking at your vision board often throughout the day. Remember, what you focus on expands, which means you will begin to see the physical manifestation of your desires, after all it’s what you are focusing on.

Also, you will begin to “feel” opportunities arise from “seemingly “out of the blue. Begin paying attention to your feelings, and when something just feels right- It’s the Law of Attraction in action, giving you the “how” part of attaining the physical manifestation of your dreams and goals. You can create vision boards with paper as well as digital. Digital picture frames work perfectly, adding a new dimension to the vision board. Also there are many computer programs that allow you to create “vision board” movies. The key is to do it in such a way that every time you view it, you create positive emotion.

The universe to man is but a projection of his inner consciousness- Kant

Question and thought to ponder. Can you see the benefit of having a vision board? Do you have one?

Do you have a millionaire dollars in your bank account? In the market? Not quite yet? We'll thats ok, neither do I. However I've studied famous millionaire's, my millionaire mentors, my millionaire clients, and my millionaire friends- and I've compiled a "millionaire toolkit of habits". Mastering these habits , according to several millionaire's, is what got them to that envied financial state.

  1. Follow your bliss- figure out how to make what you do fun, so fun that you want to share it with others, fall in love with your career, keeping a healthy balance between work and home.

  2. Focus- remain focused on your goals, write them down and review frequently. Get organized, and stay that way.

  3. Whatever it takes mentality- begin to act as though it were impossible to fail. Develop the mentality that says "how can I" instead of "why I cant". Remember, where there's a will, there's a way. Make a way. No exceptions

  4. Take risks- it's ok to do something different. You must take strategic risks to grow, expand your comfort zone making it so big that opportunity is everywhere. Then, believe that opportunity is every where- Make decisions quickly, and most important- DO SOMETHING

  5. More than one source- Multiple sources of income is a key criteria. Do a few thing great, keep moving with technology, offer different

BONUS: Give- Being a generous soul goes a long way. Mentor others in your field, mentor children, be available to others. Offer time, offer empowerment and offer financial assistance.

I have a millionaire mind, as do you!

Back from Vacation

I'm back from vacation and I am geared up with some interesting and cool topics of discussion. Check daily for great content blogs......

The Wonder of Now

Right NOW is the perfect time to ____________. (Imagine the possibilities). If you can imagine it, you can have it. How wonderful. Decide on what you want, take baby steps and feel around for words, phrases that feel good. Things that resonate with you. And you will feel the peace when it is right and the discord when it is not so right.
Do the work.....affirm your desire, create a vision board, say it aloud as often as you wish. Feel good and inspired knowing "what we focus on expands".

Keep affirming and your belief will strengthen. It will soon be yours.

Today I affirm that I am in perfect alignment with my veritable fortune. I am in the vortex, and on this day I affirm that the perfect vibrational alignment is just as it should be.

The Test

Today is the test. This test is either pass or not pass. It is a test that is years in the making. It is a test that decides everything from this point forward. This test is 1 question....and here it is

Are you ready, willing and able to let go or the past, to be optimistic about the future, and to hold to the Wonderful Powerful Now? Before you answer lets explore the 3 headed soul- The Past, the Future, and the Present....I heard somewhere that:

The past is gone, the future is unknown, all we have is now, and it is truly a gift! (That's why it's called the present)

So are you ready to believe in your gift of NOW, act in a manner that supports you, loves you, appreciates you, delights in the very essence of YOU, and seize the remarkable power of this exact moment? I read somewhere that the best time to plant a tree was 20 years ago, the second best time is NOW.

Smile today, knowing you have in your possession the power if the Wonderful Now.Forget what was, plan what will be, and enjoy what is. Yes, enjoy what is.

So I've asked you a question that will shape your life FOREVER. Are you ready?

Question and thought to ponder: How much time did you spendin deciding what to have for dinner, to watch on television, what car to buy, what movie to watch, deciding what is your Ideal Life and creating plans to achieve it?

Will you open the door when opportunity knocks

We are bombarded with less that perfect news- Econonic woes, geopolitical conflict, war, poverty....opportunity, blessings, exceeding expectations, doing more, being more, having more. Yes all of this is everywhere, remember the cosmic law "What you focus on expands" - in short, we become what we think about!

So in very simple terms, you cannot "not" think of the Statue of Liberty, quick don't imagine the Mona Lisa. But, we can use this to our advantage, to gain the power to lead out thoughts toward our Ideal Life. Begin to think of success and it will begin to show up everywhere.Begin to visualize what you want, talk more about what you want, seek out what you ready to open the door of opportunity.

Are you aware that there is a difference in taking action, versus taking inspired action? Taking action simply means to act, to be busy...whereas taking inspired action means to act with purpose, taking action that feel good, that feels right, being detached from the outcome, just knowing this is the right thing to do.

Begin to feel the difference, take inspired action, what things in your life begin to change. Then you know you are living your Ideal Life.

Question and thought to ponder: Look around at where you are in your life, if just changing your thoughts could change your view, would you begin to think differently? PS This is the "opportunity knocking" - go ahead and answer

Tear down this wall - Part III

The wall of ________________. You can fill in the blank with any and everything that keeps your from your ideal life. Wayne Dyer's new book "Excuses BeGone" tackles this very issue. And as we have heard so many times, knowing is half the battle. It's much easier to defeat the enemy when you know what it is, where it is, and how it is.

Lets us begin to evaluate our daily habits, our language, our thoughts, and our actions. Are we moving closer to victory? Have we defined what victory means to us? Are we aware of what it takes to get there? And finally, are we truly aware that whatever we desire to do, to be and to have, yes everything, we can have it all. Release the limitation, just say to yourself, excuses be gone. Decide to tear down this wall. It bears repeating, if there is something you want to be, to do, or to have, decide to tear down this wall.

Your Ideal Life is waiting for you to own it, to become it, to live it. It is a living breathing entity and when you laugh until you cry, when you fall in love, when you kiss a baby, when you listen to your favorite song, when you feel the sand beneath your toes, when you smile, when you feel good, your Ideal Life is revealed, it's calling you, it wants you as much as you want it.

Go forward, and tear down this wall. Beyond, your treasure, your Ideal Life awaits.

Question and thought to ponder: Have you ever wanted something that you would pay any cost, or have you ever wanted to do something that you'd pay to do it, or you'd do it for free? Those activities are soul of your Ideal Life.

Foe to Friend- 3 Easy steps!

Would you agree that we all have opinions that convey our values, beliefs and judgements? And we feel passionate about certain issues, don't we? And sometimes we are very passionate about those opinions, are we not? It's ours, we're right, and we aren't changing our mind! Well everyday we are faced with those that disagree with our "perfect solution", forsaking our wisdom for their own. The nerve! Guess what, everyone is entitled to their opinion, their facts, their life, their choice- even when we are asked for our opinion. Many years ago, a great wise man said "Agree with thine adversary quickly". Here are 3 tips to turn foe to friend:

1. Don't say "I'm smarter than you" or "I'll change your mind" - directly or indirectly- Instead, when someone is discussing something with you that you disagree with, " I may be wrong, I frequently am. Lets examine the facts" (Dale Carnegie)

2. Make it easy to say yes- NLP techniques use certain phrases that the brain naturally agrees with, and once you get a few yes's, our internal monitor keeps us consistent, does it not?. Some examples include, Would you agree (insert name) we have uncovered some very valid points? This is an important topic, is it not? You said (insert quick recap), is that correct? It's easier to say yes, after you've said it a few times, right?

3. Don't take opinions personally - Remember the saying "walk a while in my shoes", we all experience differences in our lives and what one thinks is normal, another thinks is outrageous. Martin Luther King Jr once said "I judge people by their own principles- not by my own". Nothing others do is because of you, each of us has our own view of the world.

Imagine you are having a party at your home this evening. Everything is perfect, the food is ready, your outfit is perfect, the drinks....oh you forgot to get ice. Now, you've decided to remain in hair curlers and your dirty jeans, just to run to the local store for the ice. As you are walking through the store you see a party guest, but it's ok because the guest didn't see you. After all, you look a mess, you don't want the guest thinking your appearance is a preview to the party. So you hide, scurry to pay for the ice and rush home.

An hour later, you look amazing, the party is great, but you notice the party guest from the store isn't there. You think, she stood me up. The nerve! Plus I know she was in the area, dressed and ready an hour ago! No more invites for her, I didn't want her here anyway, I'll just have to tell so and so about her.

At the same time, absent party guest is feeling snubbed because you didn't speak to her at the store. She thinks, " I didn't want to go to her party anyway, plus she looked a mess. I wonder if the others are aware of how she carries herself" .

Don't let this happen. Don't take anything personally. Have the courage to ask for clarification
Question and thought to ponder: Have you ever examined what you "gain" from being right all the time? And if you gain so much, why does it not feel good?

The expert within

The other day, I heard a motivational speaker say something that really made me think. His topic centered aroud positive thinking and the Law of Attraction. He said,
Find something you love to do. Something that you love so much that you would do it for FREE!. Then become so good at it that you become an expert, and people begin to pay you for doing it
How wonderful! This is a simple process in living your Ideal Life, the life you love! We all have some special talent, something we are naturally good at, something that others aren't good at but perhaps want to be and will pay for. What is that "special talent" you possess? What are you passionate about? If you are unsure then begin thinking about the things that give you real joy. Is it cooking, sewing, crafts, singing, thinking, writing, etc. Whatever it is, it's yours, and doing it brings you as close to your soul, your bigger inner self. The Great I AM. Isn't it worth discovering?

Question and thought to ponder: What would you do for absolutely free, loving every minute of it?

All the time in the world

As I was planning the remainder of the week, something resonated with me. It struck me and with it came a strong sense of urgency. I felt a “right now” feeling, which caused me to scrap my calendar and start with this thought in mind. In fact, I wrote this thought at the top of my calendar, on my notebook, and on a piece of paper I carry around daily. This thought caused me to rethink my everyday events.

Here’s the thought- If I average 7 hrs of bedtime (sleep) per night, work 40 hrs a week, include my commute, include “getting ready” time- I’m left with about 6 hours to do “whatever” activities. Now whatever activities include: family time, friends, personal development, social, health, nourishment etc. – Now, if you are off 2 days a week then you have more hours, but I figure (excluding sleep), that leaves about 3224 hours a year available for “whatever”.

Where is your time going? What are you doing with it? Are you happy with the way your time is being spent? Are you prioritizing your time? It has been said that we cannot manage time; we can only manage what we do with that time?

Balance in life is critical to achieving your “Ideal Life”. Play around with your numbers to see how much “whatever” time remains in the day- Then take out the calendar, start planning your Ideal Life.

Question and thought to ponder: If you had all the free time to do whatever you wanted, what would that be? Are you making time NOW to include this in your life?

The Bank of Imagination

We all have a bank with an abundance line. We are always making withdrawals, yet it can’t ever run out. This bank is called the Bank of Imagination. When we were born, the Universe (God, Allah, Higher Power, Spirit, or whatever feels comfortable to you) provided us with the ability to think. Equipped since birth, we have the ability to Imagine, Believe, and Receive- I like to call these three the Ideal Life Experience. So, we were given the gift of the imagination.

As kids in school, our teachers always said, “Use your imagination”. Somewhere as we’ve gotten older, the language of imagination changed. Now it’s “Stop dreaming” or “you’re living in a fairytale land”. In order to live our Ideal Life, we must call on the Bank of Imagination- we must begin using this wonderful, flowing, abundant ocean of hope, aspirations, dreams, desires all waiting to manifest In Your Life!

Let us begin, as with anything, with baby steps- let us go back to grade school. Begin affirming positive statements about the Bank of Imagination:

I have unlimited access to the Bank of Imagination
Abundance flows freely to me
I simply need to imagine abundance in order to receive its benefits
Whatever I can conceive in thought, I will receive its physical form.
The formula to my Ideal Life is so simple, I have it memorized: Imagine, Believe, Receive!

Question and thought to ponder: Are your thoughts leading you closer to your Ideal Life? Will you take a few minutes now to visit the Bank of Imagination?

3 Quick and easy Confidence Boosters

When we feel confident, it shows. When we lack confidence, it shows. People love to be around confident people. We trust them. We believe them, we feel better about ourselves because we absorb their energy.

Here are 3 quick and easy confidence boosters-

1. Look good, feel great: be a sharp dresser (new outfit, new bra, new pair of shoes), also lose 5 pounds this month. A little goes a long way

2.Let your body show your confidence: Stand up straight, walk faster, head up, eye contact and SMILE. Think of a funny joke from time to time, and smile smile smile!

3.Look inside for the answer: Strengthen your strengths, pursue your passion, improve your weaknesses

BONUS : Write a "Me" speech - Take a piece of paper and in the center write "ME" and circle it. Next begin listing all the things you like about you (similiar to a clock) and circle each. List talents, skills and successes. Then, give yourself permission to feel good about these things.

Recite your speech daily and whenever you need a boos of confidence!

Tear down this wall - Part II

On part I, I introduced the wall, as mentioned in the Bible, the wall of Jericho. The people shouted when the priest blew with the trumpets....the wall fell down flat.

So what is your wall. I've heard dieters mention hitting the wall, then gaining the weight that was lost, as well as a few more pounds. I've heard people express their committment to thei goals, dreams, aspirations, only to remain at their current level. So, how do we determine what the wall is, and more important how do we scale, jump, knock down, go around, go under, go over, this wall. Have we only to focus on the certainty of what's on the other side. I heard someone say, "Start with the end in mind". That's an interesting concept. I may add, " finish when you have reached the end". Simple words, but those additional few steps separate good from great, ordinary from extraordinary. Forget the wall, remember the end result

Question and thought to ponder. What does your completed journey look like? Do you see the completion or the wall?

The one I feed

I was just thinking about an old story I heard years ago. Often, when we need to "rehear" something our subconscious digs through all the files and calls up that file. The story goes like this -

A young man and his grandfather sat together discussing the current world conditions. The young man asked his grandfather what he thought of the goings on of the world. Grandfather replied, " I feel as though there are two wolves fighting inside of my heart. One is filled with anger, resentment, blame and frustration....the other is filled with love, peace, kindness and generosity". The young man asked his wise grandfather "Who will win the fight?". Grandfather replied........THE ONE I FEED.

What are you feeding today, who or what are you giving your energy to? What causes are you speaking up about, how many hugs were given by you today? Who will win? I love that the winner is the one I feed. We feed whatever has come our way. We feed it by talking about it, by thinking about it.

If you want conditions to change, to be better, feed what you want, let what you don't want starve.

Question and thought to ponder? Are you hungry for more life, more love, more peace, more happiness? What are you feeding?

Consumed by passion

What gets you on fire? What gets you going? If you had to spend your life doing one thing what would it be? Ok, lets play the what if game. If you had all the resources, the financial wherewithal to do, be and have anything - what would that "anything be"? What would your day look like? Can you imagine your Ideal Day, designed by you for you? Can you see it, do you hear the ocean waves against the shore, are you mid air in a private jet to some exotic location, are you laying under the starry starry night with your husband, your wife, your children?

Continue to imagine your ideal day, as vivid as possible. Do this often, perhaps just before falling to sleep, keep imagining until it's crystal clear.

Discover your passion by using your imagination. Visualizing not the how, not even the when, just see it, hear it, feel as though you are there, right this moment. Feel the wonderful feeling of being on fire about your life, your Ideal Life! Something amazing happens when we think about what we want, when we feel it now, when we bask in the wonderful Ideal begins to manifest! Since we become what we think about, think about your Ideal Life! After all they are your thoughts, aren't they?

Question and thought to ponder? What is your favorite color? Now look around for that color...see it? Imagine being able to immediately envision your Ideal you see it? You will

The Universe handles that part

Have you ever worked with someone who, when asked to do anything other than the bare minimum , would always cry That's Not My Job! Remember how that person became "that person" and they didn't even know. But, I challenge you - the next time you are imagining what you want and that internal saboteur named doubt creeps in, just say That's Not My Job. The Universe (God, Source, Soul, Higher Power, Great I AM, or whatever feels comfortable) handles that part. And feel good knowing your job is to get clear on what you want, to feel the feeling of having it Now, and to enjoy the journey. The saboteur will say - You cant do that, you don't know how, etc.. all LIES. Eventually the saboteur will be fired (just like "that person" at work). You are putting the saboteur on notice with every positive counter. You are recruiting a champion! The Champion will support your ideas, believe in you, and help you achieve whatever you want! So remember, everyone loves a Champion!

Question and thought to ponder: Are you employing a Champion or saboteur?

How long are you willing to hold your breath

This morning as I was meditating and concentrating on breathing a strange thought came to my mind. I decided to enjoy the thought and follow with any actions it prompted. The thought was more like a person, perhaps the higher source within. I shall refer to this thought or source as I AM, better yet "The Great I AM". The Great I AM said to me, " hold your breath as long as you can", so I did just that. While I held my breath I felt a calming peace, followed by a fighting desire to live. Now quite literally I sucked in the precious air, the sweet victory of NOW, the deliciousness of this substance that is almost ever present yet it's abundance seldom appreciated. At that moment, that moment of ecstasy, The Great I AM said, "The wonderful power, the treasure that is in everyone is always present, always there, always ready to rise to the occasion; Whenever you need a reminder, just hold your breath". What I discovered was to breath (live) like it's your last one. All day today I found myself in a thankful and grateful place. How wonderful to breathe, to live, to be aware of the Wonderful Now.

Question and thought to ponder, How often do you feel grateful to be alive? Hold your breath for a while, then answer.

The secret system called success

We often times think that successful people are lucky, or incredibly talented, or smart or etc... Did you know that like most anything else, success is a learned skill. In fact there is a secret system called success. Well it must be a secret because so few consider themselves a success. Of course success is in the eye of the beholder. I heard a great definition of success by Earl Nightingale......
"Success is the progressive realization of a worthy ideal"

So then the 1st step of the secret system called success is to : have a worth ideal. This is where you begin asking those Who, What, When, Where questions, Imagine answering who am I, what do I aspire to do, be or have, when would I like to be, do and have, where does this take place.

Now, we are at step 2: Progressive realization (or work). This is the How part, this is the DOING part. The fastest way to get there is to start now. One may begin visualizing having, being and doing- Visualizing allows the superpower (subconscious) to bring the creative ideas to the surface (conscious) which leads to TAKING INSPIRED ACTION.

Thats it. That's the Secret system called success. Figure out your purpose or worthy ideal, then work to achieve it. Let nothing stop you. Keep reaching. Keep taking inspired action! Keep on keeping on.

Question and thought to ponder. If you have no plans, no destination, how will you know when you have arrived?

Success Thinking

Making a way out of a seemingly impossible condition is success thinking. Seeing the opportunity that is covered in "stuff" is successful thinking. The very next time an obstacle presents itself say- Oh yes there is a way, let me dig beneath the stuff. Oh yes I can feel the solution brewing, it's gonna be a good one.

Just simply choosing a different thought pattern, you begin to train the internal voice to be your Champion instead of saboteur. Just keep thinking, "How can I, because I know I can"- things begin to change, your creative super powered solutions oriented subconscious starts cranking out all the ways to overcome the "impossible"- Quite frankly impossible does not exist. Someone said....I can do all things....If this universe gives you the wherewithal to think it, then the universe has the wherewithal to bring it to pass.

That's the kind of thinking that propelled a poor southern black girl to become one of the most powerful, influential, trusted and loved women in the world- Oh did I mention she's also a BILLIONAIRE.

Oh yes we can.

What today will you say YES I CAN to?

Tear down the walls, and you treasure awaits within.
For those living their Ideal Life, how did you do it? And with whom are you sharing this information. How wonderful to share a success story.
