Host your own pity party (literally, and it IS what you are thinking)!

I'm Valarie Johnson and with Gods grace...I've overcome
molestation and abuse at a very early age from multiple relatives
the chaos of living in an environment with 2 alcoholic parents
dealing with a grandmother who suffered with schizophrenia
and so on and so on......

To that I say, those things hurt, they are my past not my present and certainly not my future... I released them and now soar beyond anything I could ever have imagined possible!
Pain is pain...this may not be your story but 99.99999% of us have suffered through some kind of pain or nonideal circumstance in our lives...... some of us, even as adults, are still suffering at the hands of something that happened 20 years ago....

#1 I am sorry that you had to endure those things. My heart goes out to you.
#2 I encourage you to adopt the forgiveness definition i once heard on Oprah Winfrey - Forgiveness- giving up the hope that the past could ever be any different...
#3 Taking back your champion status you were born with!
#4 It is absolutely possible to live a life of peace and joy, regardless of what happened to you

Ok- here's a radical crazy way to do so...... throw yourself a pity party!
Literally host a party wherein you release all the angst and memories of what was and what could have been....and declare yourself a new creature and allow those things to no longer own you...
So what would a 'pity party' look like?
#1 host it an a dark and damp venue or some non ideal location
#2 whatever your least favorite color, use this for the  decorations
#3 Have a cake, a stale cake, with the words Good bye pain!
#4 Whatever are your least favorite foods, have those and eat them (for the last time)
#5 Least favorite music, play that!
#6 This is the one part that differs.... invite people who truly love and appreciate you.... explain to them this is the final hoorah for those memories...
#7 Wear the most unflattering clothes you can find and ask your guest to do the same...
#8 Have the party and release the pity
#9 At the end of the evening, when the food is gone and he music has ended.....conclude with each guest welcoming the new you.... - go and change into your best outfit and have each love you and share a new story about how beautiful, warm, kind and wonderful you truly are!

Now I'm serious about this.... if you do so 2 things will happen- everytime your mind wants to return to the thoughts of the past, you will have a reminder that they were released... and a new perspective on processing them....
Insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting a different result...If those things bind you and hold you....DO SOMETHING RADICALLY DIFFERENT TO RELEASE THEM....
